TriFactorite to the Worlds!
TriFactor Summer Update
TRIFACTOR SUMMER 2013
We’re now into racing season! With all the tapering, racing, recovery, training - and holidaying - it’s a looser schedule than in previous months. Still, we like to continue with group workouts as much as possible.
**If you’re new to tri, come and meet us for a ride, run or swim. Please give us a heads up so we can expect you (or let you know ride details). Summer is a great, casual time to try out the sport - without worrying about formally joining a club – just get out and tri it out!
Rides
Weekday evening ride: Tuesdays – this has been a workout night all year – or Thurdays. Usual meet spot is nest to the Shell station on Robin at Dale, just before the perimeter. Usual meet time is 6:30. Usual distance is to the St. Francis Xavier general store and back.
Weekend longer ride: Saturday mornings, usually starting at 9 or earlier. There are many distances being trained for – we often ‘jump in’ with another club mate who has a longer distance. Common routes are in and around Birds Hill Park, out past St. FX/return, to Sanford/return, River Road/Selkirk route.
Runs
Wednesdays at Grant Park Track, 6:30 am
Weekend longer run: Sunday mornings. This run usually takes place around the Assiniboine Park area, starting at 9 or earlier.
Swims
Tri MB swims are still taking place Monday and Wednesday evenings at 8 -9:30. Cost is $8, paid on deck (or purchase a multi visit card). All welcome.
Open water swimming in your wetsuit is recommended. As a group we get out to various open water bodies, often riding/running as well.
Fun
We’re always having fun - please see our social activities listing.
LOOKING AHEAD
Trifactor 2014 membership is $175. This is due by Jan 31, 2014. Payment can be made in October when the indoor season begins, which means the several extra Saturday workouts are free!
Fall 3013 Our indoor season training is projected to begin in late Oct, where we had 10 weeks of Saturday morning indoor training before the end of the year.
Saturday Mornings: Cindy Klassen Rec Centre
7:30-8:30 am swim
9:00-11:00 am bike
